Scottish Motorsport Marshals Club (SMMC) is the only Club in Scotland that’s dedicated to all four-wheel motorsport disciplines. There are very few motorsport events held north of the border where SMMC is not playing a significant role with either our trained personnel or specialist equipment being involved.

We’re not just close to the action... we’re PART of it!

Marshals required for Bo’ness Hillclimb, 10-11 September

Bo’ness Hillclimb is the revival, that’s been revived again! Bo’ness Sporting Automobile Club need marshals on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September for an event at Scotland’s oldest permanent motorsport venue featuring fabulous sports and racing cars dating from the early 1900’s right up to 1980. There will be a good selection of pre-1974 vehicles... Freikaiserwagen anyone? Looked like it should be driven by Dick Dastardly.

Marshals needed for Forrestburn Hillclimb, 27-28 August

Forrestburn Hillclimb, one of the UK's finest hill climb venues with its 1,030-metre track with dramatic scenery, is on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th August. Marshals are needed both days but particularly Sunday.

Marshals required for the Ulster Rally, 19-20 August

The thrilling fight for the coveted British Rally Championship title all comes down to the final encounter of the season, the Ulster Rally this weekend. It's also the title decider for the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship so you can expect a titanic battle for supremacy between Josh Moffett and Meirion Evans. You can join over 600 marshals and become one of the people who make this event happen!

Request for radio crews for the Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally on 10 September

The 2022 event is the penultimate round (and the last one North of the Border) of this year’s KNC Groundworks Motorsport UK Scottish Rally Championship. It will make use of stages in the Galloway Forest Park. A number of Radio Operators and Controllers are required to provide safety cover for the event. Please take a moment to respond even if you can’t attend as it really help us with planning.

We were absolutely delighted when three-time FIA Formula 1 Drivers’ World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE made a point of coming over to speak to the Rescue Unit crew and members of the SMMC Committee yesterday afternoon along with Club President, David Swinton.

Radio Operators needed for the McRae Rally Challenge, Knockhill, 2-3 July 2022

The McRae Rally Challenge will feature two one-day single venue rallies, a Junior rally event, and will also see the newly named "McRae's Corner" in use for the very first time. An eagerly awaited feature will be the “Battle of the McRae’s” as three generations of the McRae family compete head-to-head to determine who is the fastest!

The Sir Jackie Stewart Classic, presented by Rolex, is a Festival of Motoring taking place at Thirlestane Castle on 18th & 19th June 2022. Marshals are required to run posts for a sprint of a heritage cars from days gone by.
