Dr Paul Trafford, Chair of Motorsport UK’s Medical Committee and the UK representative on the FIA Medical Commission, officially "launched" SMMC’s new Rescue Ambulance during the lunch break at the Border Access Knockhill Rally Stages yesterday.

We are delighted that our efforts around sustainability have been recognised by Motorsport UK through the award of their Sustainability Accreditation. We would encourage all marshals, officials, competitors, teams, service crews, spectators, contractors and suppliers to support our programme of continuous improvement to minimise our environmental impact.

Three members of Scottish Motorsport Marshals Club have been recognised by Motorsport UK for their Long Service to the sport.

The 2025 Scottish rally season kicks off on Sunday 16th February when Border Ecosse Car Club hold the Knockhill Stages, with a new sponsor, the Border Access Limited, Cherry Picker Hire. The rally will be a round of at least four Championships and as ever, we need a strong team of Marshals and Radio Marshals to ensure it is run safely.

Radio Operators are required for the Autosave Components Winter Stages Rally at Kinloss on Saturday 16th November 2024.

Glenrothes Motorsport Club are proud to announce that the 2024 Kingdom Stages, supported by KVR Motorsport, will be taking place on Saturday 2nd November at Crail Raceway in Fife. Your help in making sure this rally is a success would be very much appreciated.

We are looking for Radio Crews for the Condor MSC 2024 Memorial Gardens Stages Saturday 21st September 2024.

Forrestburn Hillclimb, one of the UK's finest hill climb venues with its 1,030-metre track and dramatic scenery, is this weekend - Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August. Marshals are needed both days.

The Asset Alliance Group Motorsport UK Scottish Rally Championship returns to Dumfriesshire for the fourth round of the Championship, the RSAC Scottish Rally on Saturday 20 July. Radio Operators and Marshals are required to help with the safe running of the event.

Ian Gillian received SMMC’s prestigious Jim Clark Marshalling Award, from Club Chairman Garry Headridge last weekend. The award recognises a significant or meritorious contribution to motor sport marshalling in Scotland.

The radical off-road racing series, Extreme E, is returning to Scotland (Dumfries and Galloway) on the 11th – 14th July 2024. Marshals are needed to help at the event.

The Summer Stages on Saturday 8th June at Crail Airfield in Fife is a round of the Scottish Single Venue Rally Championship, the Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship, and the North of England Rally Championship. As always, we are looking for marshals and radio marshals to assist with the safe running of the event.

Kyle and Fiona Moffat were going back to school for a rest on Monday morning after a busy weekend helping at their first motorsport event. The twins, who attend Canmore Primary school in Dunfermline, were helping to provide essential safety cover as Cadet Marshals at the Jim Clark Rally in the Borders, one of the largest rally events in Scotland.
