It is with deep sadness that I must let you know of the death of Club Trustee Donald Reid at the weekend. He was respected by many across motorsport and beyond and will be sorely missed by all of us in SMMC.

A number of radio crews are required to provide safety cover for the Memorial Garden Stages Rally at RM Condor, Arbroath on Saturday 25th March. Please take a moment to respond even if you can’t attend as it really help us with planning.

As the most popular closed road event in the UK, the Beatsons Building Supplies Jim Clark Rally requires a significant number of volunteer marshals and officials, both on and off the stages, to help the safe and efficient running of the event on 26-28 May.

We need a number of radio operators for the Snowman Rally on Saturday 4th March, one of Scotland's biggest sporting events.

The Scottish Association of Motor Sports Clubs has published a comprehensive programme of online and in-person training for 2023 that will be of benefit to all grades of motorsport marshals and officials.

The 2023 Scottish rally season will kick off on Sunday 19 February when Border Ecosse Car Club hold the Grant Construction Knockhill Stages. A number of radio marshals are needed to assist with the safe running of the event.

Are you free next weekend? The Scottish Borders Hill Rally 19th & 20th November 2022 needs your help! With less than a week to go, we still need more marshals for the most exciting and interesting Cross Country motorsport event of the year. Don't worry if you haven't got any experience, as training will be provided. We're still looking for a few In-Stage, Timing and Radio marshals.

Whether you stand on the bank at a race circuit, know the minimum quantity of extinguishant for a plumbed-in fire extinguisher in a rally car or how long you have to protest a decision under C5.2, you are a valued member of the motorsport team. Quite simply, without volunteers there would be no motorsport. On behalf of the Trustees of Scottish Motorsport Marshals Club, I want to thank you for everything that you do and the time and effort that you put into motorsport.

Knockhill is looking for marshals to help at the Super Lap Scotland Championship on 4th September. Running anti clockwise, this event will see fast and furious action on track as the SLS and Mod Sports compete for the last time this season.
