The annual Jim Clark Memorial Rally is back under Starter's Orders. Following the final completion of new legislation by the Scottish Government this week, the way is now open to bring the rally back to Berwickshire.

The Scottish Government has today passed legislation that permits motorsports events, such as stage rallies, hill climbs and trials of speed, on closed public roads in Scotland.

Marshals of all disciplines are needed to assist in this latest round of the Cobble Shop Scottish Tarmack Championship, AS Performance North of England Tarmac Championship, and the Junior 1000 Ecosse Challenge 2019.

There’s still time to volunteer for the McDonald & Munro Speyside Stages, the next round of the Motorsport UK KNC Groundworks Scottish Rally Championship.

Radio Operators are still required for this round of the British Rally Championship

SMS are now moving into the planning stage of the creation of the 2020-2024 Motorsports Strategy for Sportscotland. In order to be able to help generate a strategic direction that best supports the needs of our sport, EVERYONE with an interest in motorsports in Scotland is invited to contribute and have their say.

The Memorial Garden Stages Rally takes place at the Royal Marines Condor Base near Arbroath on Saturday 13th April and needs your help.

This year, we're attending a few events to promote SMMC and interest in motorsport in general. Please come and say hi if you’re coming to any of these events, and please encourage friends, family and colleagues to visit too.

Marshals, irrelevant of your level of experience, are required for the first Hill Climb of the year at Doune.

Three events during March that are looking for marshals.

SMRC are running their annual training day for race marshals on Sunday 3rd March 2019 at Knockhill Circuit.

An overwhelming majority of respondents support the introduction of a two stage application process with the appropriate Motorsports Governing Bodies and Local Road Authorities at the heart of that process.

Marshals are still required for the Grant Construction Stages at Knockhill this coming Sunday.

SMMC members Vicky Lang and Charlie Denny are among ten intrepid explorers who are leaving their comfort zones and undertaking a 4000-mile journey to deliver rescue vehicles, mobile clinics and patient transport vehicles to Banjul in the Gambia.
