Update - 31 December:
Following a great response the Training Day on 13 January is now FULL.
A reserve list is however being established in case anybody already registered is unable to attend. If you are interested in attending and have not already registered please complete the form as usual and we will be in touch if a space becomes available. Thank you.
The first training day of 2019 before the motorsport calendar kicks off:
Date: Sunday 13 January 2019
Sign-on: 09.00 for a sharp 09.30 start
Location:
Blair Drummond Community Hall, FK9 4UX
(on the A84, approximately 5 miles north east of Stirling)
Modules being covered:
- Radio, which also covers Introduction to Radio Operations
- Personal Safety
- Spectator Safety including Conflict Management
The training is open to all marshals and officials who make use of, or are interested in the use of, radios for safety communications on events and will refer to Version 4 of the Stage Rally Safety Requirements issued earlier this year.
Building on the feedback received from previous training sessions, more practical exercises are planned. These may involve vehicles covering a short route from the hall.
Further details will be provided with the final instructions.
A guest speaker will also provide an insight into how their role as a Senior Official depends on the communications network.
As with previous training days we also hope to have Radio Engineers present to assist with any technical questions or minor repairs.
A light lunch will be provided with tea and coffee available throughout the day.
