It is with deep sadness that I must let you know of the death of Donald Reid at the weekend.

Donald joined the Club in 1990 along with his great friend, and brother-in-law, Alastair Gray (think Laurel and Hardy / Morecambe and Wise).

Donald became a Director of the Club in 2011 and was appointed Social Convener, organising events up to the Curry evening in early December. He was a very active member of our Motorsport Rescue Team, and using his knowledge and skills he became a Mentor for Rescue Trainees.

He was respected by many across motorsport and beyond and will be sorely missed by all of us in SMMC.
