Following the success of the inaugural MSN Circuit Rally Challenge at Knockhill in 2017, Dunfermline Car Club has been asked to run the Knockhill Stages, on Sunday 9th December 2018. As last year, the event will be using the off-road section around the car parks on the hill opposite the service area as well as the circuit.

Signing on will be between 07:00 and 07:45, followed by the safety briefing for all marshals at 08:15, and the radio check at 08:35. The first car is due to start at 09:00, with competitors starting at 30 second intervals. There will be 10 stages, giving some 39 miles of action. The last two stages will run in the dark.

The awards presentation expected to take place at around 18:00. The maximum entry is 60, the minimum – already attained – is 45.

I am looking for 14 radio marshals. In addition to the usual locations we propose to locate a crew up beside the commentary box; their role will be to scan the stages and report on any issues. As they’ll need eyes at the back of their head it’s essential that they should be double manned, in a 4X4, and have binoculars.

As is usual with DCC events there will be an online registration form to complete in due course, but in the meantime, I’d be very grateful if you would contact me to confirm that you would like to attend.
