Whether you are interested in a hill climb, tarmac rally or off-road action, events still require your assistance as a marshal this weekend.

Marshals are still required for the following events this weekend.  Any assistance will be very much appreciated.

Doune Hill Climb

Lothian Car Club return to Doune in June for two days of motorsport when those in the Scottish Championship will be pitting their wits against competitors in rounds 13 and 14 of the British Hill Climb Championship.

As usual for the rounds of the British Hillclimb Championship at Doune, Saturday will be three / four practice runs for the competitors with a further practice on Sunday followed by two officially timed runs with a top twelve run off after each.

Marshals of all levels of experience are required.  Don’t worry if you have not marshalled on a speed event before, the Chief Marshal, Alastair Gray, will make sure you are buddied up with someone who has been to the hill before.

As at previous events sign-on will be at 0745 at the hill climb office and marshals should be on post ready for a 0830 start.  A marshals briefing will be held at 0810 and then the rescue unit will distribute those marshals that need a lift up the hill.

Not only are you guaranteed a warm welcome, Lothian Car Club will give you £15 per day towards your expenses.

If you want to offer your services, or just would like more information, contact Alastair on 01324 482975 / 07802 435181 or by email:

UK Rally Scene Summer Stages Rally

If you don’t fancy watching cars going up a hill, you might prefer to see them on the flat at the old airfield at Crail.  Glenrothes Motor Sport Club are organising the UK Rally Scene Summer Stages Rally on Saturday 15 June and again, marshals with all levels of experience are required.  Signing on will be completed before a marshals briefing pencilled in for 7.30.  First car will be away at 8.30

The rally is a round of the Cobble Shop Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship, the North of England Tarmacadam Rally Championship and Junior 1000 Ecosse Challenge and a full entry of 70 cars due to start the ‘senior’ rally.

If you can help, please contact the Chief Marshal, James Moir at:  or on 07907 638663

Scottish Cross Country Championship & British X Country Championship - Round 2

A few more marshals are required to make up the on-stage team for this event being held at Forrest Estate, St John's Town of Dalry, DG7 3XS on 15th & 16th June.

Any form of Motorsport Marshal is welcome – roles include start timing, radio marshals and 2 x finish timing teams.  Even if you have never done it before you will be more than welcome and we can team you up with a more experience marshal. (If you don't have an MSA Safety Radio we can lend you one.)
