Marshals
are still required for the following events this weekend. Any assistance will be very much appreciated.
Doune Hill Climb
Lothian Car Club return
to Doune in June for two days of motorsport when those in the Scottish
Championship will be pitting their wits against competitors in rounds 13 and 14
of the British Hill Climb Championship.
As usual for the rounds
of the British Hillclimb Championship at Doune, Saturday will be three / four
practice runs for the competitors with a further practice on Sunday followed by
two officially timed runs with a top twelve run off after each.
Marshals of all levels
of experience are required. Don’t worry
if you have not marshalled on a speed event before, the Chief Marshal, Alastair
Gray, will make sure you are buddied up with someone who has been to the hill
before.
As at previous events
sign-on will be at 0745 at the hill climb office and marshals should be on post
ready for a 0830 start. A marshals
briefing will be held at 0810 and then the rescue unit will distribute those
marshals that need a lift up the hill.
Not only are you
guaranteed a warm welcome, Lothian Car Club will give you £15 per day towards
your expenses.
If you want to offer your services, or just would like more information, contact Alastair on 01324 482975 / 07802 435181 or by email: grayalastair@hotmail.co.uk
