Voyonic Grampian Forest Rally – Saturday 12 August 2023

Information:

We are looking for Radio Crews for the Voyonic Grampian Forest Rally on Saturday 12 August.

Based in north east Scotland, the total mileage will be approximately 144 miles on public and private roads. This includes six special stages with a mileage of approximately 44 miles, which will take the form of 100% forestry type roads.

Ordnance Survey map sheet number 45 (1:50,000 series) covers the route.

The stages will include roads which have gained reputation for quality and enjoyment – smooth fast and flowing with character of their own. A bit like a good malt whisky.

The event is a qualifying round of the KNC Groundworks Scottish Rally Championship.

Final details of sign-on times etc will be confirmed in due course – but to help with your planning, the first car is expected at 08:41 hrs at Milton of Crathes and the last car is expected at approximately 16:19 hrs at the same location.

Marshals – Summer Stages, Crail, 10th June 2023

The Summer Stages at Crail Airfield in Fife is a round of the Scottish Single Venue Rally Championship, the Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship, and the North of England Rally Championship.

The event comprises some 55 stage miles over six stages, starting at 30 second intervals. The first car is due to start at 08:30.

Goody bags and a hot meal will be provided for all marshals.

Even if you haven’t marshalled before or have limited experience please get in touch and we can buddy you up with a more experienced person.

Speyside Stages Rally, 21-22 April 2023

Friday 21 April – cars starting from 20:30

Saturday 22 April – cars starting from 09:00 to approx 18:00

Location:

The rally will start from the Cooper Park, Elgin and finishes at Moray College, Elgin

The Rally route will be contained on the following Ordnance Survey map sheets:
Landranger – 1:50,000 Sheet Numbers 28, 29 and 37
RouteMaster – 1:250,000 Sheet Number 2

Information:

The McDonald & Munro Speyside Stages is one of the North East of Scotlands premier motorsport events and covers over 45 stage miles.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of event organisers The 63 Car Club (Elgin) Ltd, the event will get underway on the Friday evening with competitors tackling two short forest stages in the dark before the traditional full day of rally action on the Saturday.

We need lots of crews as much of it is single use mileage.

Information:

The Snowman Rally is one of the Highland’s biggest sporting events in the year and attracts competitors, marshals and spectators from all over Scotland and beyond.

Scrutineering, Service and HQ are all located at the Black Isle Showground.

We need 3 controls and approx 30 crews.

SMMC’s 50th Anniversary:

2023 is the 50th Anniversary of Scottish Motorsport Marshals Club. Some of the members that are taking part in the Snowman Rally are planning to meet for a curry at 7.30pm on Friday 3rd March at Cinnamon Restaurant, 1B Millburn Road, Inverness IV2 3PX. We’d love to see you there too – please let us know if you can attend so that we gauge numbers for the restaurant.

The 2023 Scottish rally season will kick off on Sunday 19 February when Border Ecosse Car Club hold the Grant Construction Knockhill Stages.

The first round of the 2023 Burnside Piling Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship, Scottish Single Venue Rally Championship and Back to Roots Tarmack Championship, ten stages are planned with the first car due to start at 08:31.

Arrangements for signing on and access to the circuit will be advised to those offering assistance with the event.
