Welcome to the SCOTTISH MOTORSPORT MARSHALS CLUB
Who are we ?
We are one of the leading motorsport marshalling clubs in the
UK with a long history and worldwide membership.
What do we do ?
The Club provides marshalling assistance at some 50 motorsport
events each year, including attendance at National and International
Rallies, Hill Climbs, Sprints and Racing Circuits. We operate
three Motorsport Rescue Units which are unique in Scotland.
These vehicles attend all events at which the Club marshals,
plus many prestige events including the British Grand Prix.
In addition, the Club boasts a thriving Motorsport Radio Group
which provides safety communications services on numerous rallies
and other events.
How does the club operate ?
At regular intervals, the Club sends information sheets to
all its members advising on future motorsport events which require
marshalling assistance. Members simply return the tear off slip
or telephone the Club to confirm availability to attend an event.
We also publish details of events on this website, see calendar page.
The Club also produces a magazine "MARSHALS POST"
which is sent free to all members, up to 3 times per year.
In addition, the Club holds regular training sessions and
seminars
on
all
aspects of marshalling in motorsport - therefore, as a beginner
you can learn from the experience of SMMC members and immediately
become involved in whichever branch of motorsport you prefer.
